Spring Bird Walks
Each spring, Mad Birders hosts a series of guided walks open to birders of all experience levels. These walks are a great way to explore local habitats, learn from fellow birders, and enjoy the season together.

The Winter Bird Count
Each December, Mad Birders takes part in Audubon’s national bird census that documents bird populations across the country. Field teams spend one day looking for birds across a 15-mile Circle. Additionally birders within our Circle participate as feeder watchers.
Birders of all levels are welcome.
The 2026 count will be held on Friday, December 18, with a snow date of Monday, December 20.
